Public Safety Cadets
What is Public Safety Cadets?
Public Safety Cadets is a new, national non-profit organization founded and managed by active and retired law enforcement officers and business leaders dedicated to preparing young adults, ages 14-20 (until 21st birthday), for careers and leadership in the public safety profession.
Sponsored by the Minot Police Department and Ward County Sheriff Department, Minot Public Safety Cadets is the first Public Safety Cadet Unit in North Dakota.
The Minot Police Department and Ward County Sheriffs Department are proud to partner with regional high school and college students to educate them about the field of Law Enforcement. Minot Public Safety Cadets focuses on learning skills related to the Law Enforcement career while also developing leadership and teamwork qualities. The Minot Public Safety Cadets program promotes community service and community involvement by assisting with local events throughout the year. Students who participate in the Minot Public Safety Cadet program should have an interest and ability to pursue a Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement career.
