The City of Minot’s Engineering Department is wrapping up its final construction project of 2022.
The mill and overlay project on 20th Avenue NW is nearly complete, according to Project Engineer Jesse Berg.
“20th Avenue NW is really the last project for us to wrap up,” he said. “We should finish paving this week or early next week, and then complete a few minor items like concrete work and some seeding. The main road paving is done, and now we’re finishing the tie-in areas.”
A section of a mill and overlay project in the SW Knolls neighborhood will be completed next year. The stretch of 10th St SW between 14th Avenue SW and 16th Avenue SW needed unexpected reconstruction work. Those two blocks will be stabilized and repaired in 2023.
Other projects this year included:
-Reconstruction of 11th Avenue SE from Hiawatha Street to 7th St SE.
-Mill and overlay on Crescent Drive from 27th St NW to Sunset Boulevard, and on 27th St NW from 27th Court NW to Crescent Drive.
-Chip seal work was substantially completed prior to the N.D. State Fair. Final pavement markings were put down after the State Fair.
-Asphalt patching projects in various locations.
-Sidewalk curb/gutter assessments and installation of new ADA sidewalk ramps in various locations, including South Broadway at 11th Avenue.
-Safe Routes to School near Edison Elementary.
