Officers responded to a robbery of a customer outside Wells Fargo Bank at 100 South Broadway in Minot around 9:13 AM today. The customer was approached by a black male and was told to give him the money. No weapons were displayed during the robbery and an undisclosed amount of money was turned over to the male. A witness alerted police to the location of the suspect vehicle and witnessed a suspect fleeing from the vehicle in the area of the 900 block of 4th Street SW. A search of the area was conducted and police alerted Minot Public Schools in the area, who made the decision to temporarily lock-down as a precaution. The suspect was not located during the search and there were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later and impounded by police.
Police have identified and a warrant for robbery has been issued for 25 year old Quantdre O. Mersier. Mersier is a black male, with black hair and brown eyes, 5’11” tall and weighs about 165 pounds. A photo of Quantdre Mersier is attached to this release. Anyone who knows where Quantdre Mersier is located should contact the Minot Police Department immediately.
Police are still trying to identify the driver of the suspect vehicle, which was found abandoned in the 800 block of 3rd Street SW. Anyone who may have seen a subject running from that area is asked to contact the Minot Police Department.
