City ice rinks set to open Dec. 15

The City of Minot’s public ice rinks are scheduled to open Dec. 15, weather permitting.

All rinks are supervised. They are located at:

  • Roosevelt – 619 9th St NE: Hockey & pleasure rinks
  • Polaris Park – 712 26th Ave NW: Hockey & pleasure rinks
  • Perkett – 2000 5th Ave SW: Hockey rink only
  • Municipal Ball Park – 600 13th Street SE: Pleasure rink only

When school is in session, the rinks are open:

  • 4 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • 2 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • The rinks are closed on Wednesdays

Beginning Dec. 24, a Holiday Schedule will be utilized with all rinks opening at 2 p.m. and closing at 9 p.m., except for New Year’s Eve, when the rinks are open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All rinks are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Starting Jan. 3, all rinks will return to their regular schedule. If there is questionable weather, call the Minot Rec Commission hotline at 852-0820.
