The City of Minot has changed the times and days of the COVID-19 rapid testing taking place at Fire Station #1 in southwest Minot.
Testing will now be done only on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be no testing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or Sundays. This schedule will be in effect from Feb. 15 to at least Feb. 28.
The number of tests administered has decreased over the past six weeks, from 1,112 tests in week one to 482 tests in week six. The new schedule will allow the same number of tests to be conducted more efficiently.
Tests are self-administered with the assistance of the Minot Fire Department and other City of Minot staff and offer results in approximately 15 minutes. Testing is done at Minot’s Fire Station #1, 2111 10th St SW. Recipients should pre-register online at https://testreg.nd.gov/ before arriving at the test site.
All motor vehicles should come from the west on 20th Avenue before turning onto 10th street. This will help to avoid any potential traffic jams at that intersection.
These rapid antigen tests are not compliant with most international airline travel requirements. Travelers are reminded to verify with airlines or their destination regarding testing requirements.
