City schedules cleanup weeks, HHW collection days for 2020

The City of Minot has scheduled its two cleanup weeks and its household hazardous waste collection events for 2020, according to Sanitation/Landfill Superintendent Josh Kraft.

The event schedule for 2020 includes:

  • Spring cleanup week: April 27-May 1
  • Spring HHW/E-waste collection: May 1-2
  • Free dump week with water bill at landfill: July 6-11
  • Fall cleanup week: Sept. 21-25
  • Fall HHW/E-waste collection: Sept. 25-26

“These events allow the residents of Minot opportunities to dispose of unwanted items they may have in their homes, garages, or yards,” Kraft said. “The cleanup weeks and household hazardous waste collection events have grown in popularity, and have become effective ways to help keep our city clean while properly disposing of potentially dangerous chemicals.”

During both cleanup weeks, City sanitation customers can bring unwanted items to the City landfill for free by providing a water bill as proof they are customers.
