Construction projects making progress

Flood control: The flood walls on Phase MI-1 are in the process of being stained, and brick veneer is being installed. A base course of asphalt pavement on Fourth Avenue east of Broadway is nearly complete. Phase MI-2/3 has reached substantial completion. The new Wee Links parking lot is complete. The closure structure needs to be stained, but it otherwise complete. Landscaping, seeding, and tree and shrub installation should be completed by late September. Work on the new pump station near the Broadway Bridge continues.

10th St SW/31st Avenue SW: The intersection of 10th Street and 31st Avenue SW is open; 31st Avenue to 37th Avenue remains closed as work continues on those blocks. Storm sewer installation is complete on 10th Street SW, and roads are being built. Storm sewer is being installed on 32nd Avenue SW and 34th Avenue SW. The project is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Sidewalk, curb and gutter: These replacements are happening at various locations throughout the City.

Street sealing: This work is taking place or has already been completed at multiple locations throughout the City.

31st Avenue SE: Minot’s first roundabout is fully open and functioning well. Curb and gutter is being installed this week, and local traffic will soon move from the temporary path onto the new road. Crews will then complete new sidewalk, a new shared use path, and new street lighting. The plan is to have all pavement installed by the end of September.
