Construction projects affect traffic in SW, SE Minot

Hiawatha and 17th Ave SE

Heading to Rosehill Cemetery? A project in southeast Minot has shut down two blocks of 11th Avenue SE for the next few weeks.

Vehicle traffic will not be able to drive on 11th Avenue SE between Hiawatha Street and 8th Street SE. Visitors heading to Rosehill Cemetery on 11th Avenue SE will need to approach from the west.

The work taking place includes storm sewer upgrades, followed by accessible pedestrian ramps. The two blocks between Hiawatha Street and 8th Street SE will also be reconstructed.

16th Street SW is a busy place

Work continues this week on pedestrian accessible ramps, utilities, curb and gutters, and concrete panel replacements in areas around 16th Street SW and 31st Avenue SW. Concrete work on the southbound lanes of 16th Street SW should be finished in the next few days, with portions of the roadway reopening to traffic. Work will then move to the northbound lanes on 16th Street SW.

Access to 36th Avenue SW and 35th Avenue SW on the east side of 16th Street SW is closed, and access to 32nd Avenue SW on the east side of 16th Street SW will close soon. When 32nd Avenue SW on the west side of 16th Street SW reopens, 35th Avenue SW on the west side of 16th Street SW will also be closed.
